    The School of Medical Technology & Nursing is committed to provide training and education that equips healthcare professionals with the necessary skills to serve the needs of China’s health service in the 21st Century.
Set up in Oct. 2003, the School of Medical Techniques & Nursing consists of five departments as Nursing , Midwifery, Oral Prosthodontics Technique, Ophthalmology & Optometry Technique, Rehabilitation Technique.
     The School has a highly-qualified teaching staff totaling 29 members. There are 16 professors and associate professors. At present, there are nearly 750 students in the School, among them  most are in a three-year program and the remaining 80 students are in a 2-year program.
The teachers have undertaken many provincial teaching research and scientific research projects and published more than 20 textbooks on higher vocational education.
       Except for modernized teaching facilities, The School of Medical Technology & Nursing has also a Specialty Lab with advanced equipment and comprehensive function offering the students a very good practice and training environment. A series of new buildings for the School located in the west-north of East campus are under construction with beautiful environment. The whole building covers an area of over 100,000 square metres worth of 79million RMB. The new building has 52,000 square metres. After construction of the new building is completed, the whole floor space will reach 27,763 square metres with independent teaching accommodation, library, practice training lab, mess hall, school dormitory as well. The School also established many practice training bases in hospitals, related big enterprises and communities, which can provide students invaluable learning opportunities.
In the new century, the whole staff in the School of Medical Technology & Nursing will proceed from a high starting point and with a new look, unite, cooperate, work hard, blaze new trails, seek innovation, advance with the times and strive to scale new heights in medical sciences with sophisticated medical skills and selfless love. In the 21st century full of challenges and hopes, they will work hard to make outstanding achievements in turning the School of Medical Technology & Nursing into a modern comprehensive school with first-class teaching staff, first-class management, first-class technology and first-class teaching and create a beautiful future for the School.
